Robert “Bob” Nelms

Robert (Bob) Nelms, 78, of Apache Junction AZ passed away March 17th, 2022 at Sunshine Circle Assisted Living in Phoenix, AZ
A celebration of life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ on Friday, April 8th at 4pm.
Bob was born on January 1st, 1944 in Moline, IL to Joseph and Ellen (Schwenneker) Nelms.
Bob was a proud veteran who served in the US Army in the 1960’s. He retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local #359 in Phoenix, AZ. Bob enjoyed spending time with his dog and hunting. He also loved sports and was an avid water skier in his younger years.
Survivors include his 3 children: Jeffery A. Nelms (Kellie) of Lancaster, CA, Julie L. Nelms, of Apache Junction, AZ, Jodie K. Regester (Tim) of Gilbert, AZ; brothers: Jim of St Petersberg, FL, Jerry of Cordova, IL, Bill of Mesa, AZ; sister Nancy DeSplinter, of Moline, IL; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Follow Your Heart Animal Rescue in Mesa, AZ.

Just read this obituary about Bob Nelms. Always full of life from Arizona to hunting in NW Kansas. Bob was a good friend of my brother- in-law Jim Fredrickson. His son Jeff should have stories to tell about driving in Kansas.. Good memories..RIP Bob ..
