Robert “Bob” W. Carlson, 76, of Mesa, AZ passed away Saturday May 28, 2011 in Mesa, AZ. Mr. Carlson, who retired after 35 years with the Burlington Northern Railroad, was born in Mineral, IL. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Barbara, daughters Kay Biggs, Karen (John) Knopp, Kristin (Michael) Lawson, sister-in-law Marci Carlson, brothers Glenn (Beverly) and Buddy, and grandchildren: Zachary and Madelyne Biggs, J.R. and Jessica Knopp, and Nathan and Darrick Lawson. He was preceded in death by his parents Eric and Edith Carlson, his brother Arnold and grandson Noah Lawson. Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday June 18, 2011 at Love of Christ Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
