Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Robert Garcia Orozco

Passed Away on July 15, 2019

Robert “Bobby-O” Garcia Orozco, 71, of Mesa, passed away on July 15, 2019. He was born in Globe, Arizona on October 8, 1947; son of Fernando and Enriqueta Orozco.

Growing up, he broke several records as a famous Little League left-hand pitcher and a member of the American Legion Junior Baseball League.

Upon meeting his soulmate and best friend, “Viv” at Northern Arizona University, they married in January 1971 and moved to Hawaii in 1972. They started a family in Kona, Hawaii, raising three children – Yvonne, Jena, and Michael. Bobby was a member of Amway for 10 years, then worked as a truck driver for Union 76 gas station and 7UP Bottling Company. Always wanting to be his own boss, he opened his air freight delivery company, RGO Enterprises in 1985.

Bobby was a faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church and held positions such as Greeter, Eucharistic Minister, and Treasurer. In his spare time, Bobby had a passion for building stone walls, listening for hours to Mexican, Country, and Hawaiian music (he loved making mixed CDs for friends and family to enjoy), spending time in his garden growing roses and chili peppers, and watching the sunset from his lanai. He retired to Arizona in 2009.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vivian Sue Orozco; Children: Yvonne Orozco of Mesa, Arizona, Jena Dickson (Elvis) of Mesa, Arizona, and Michael Orozco (Kimberlina) of Honolulu, Hawaii; Grandchildren: Briana (20) and Romello (6), Leo (6), and Milina (2); Brothers: Alfredo “Papouny” Guerrero of Arizona, and Richard Carrizosa of California. He loved his family and will be missed dearly.

Services will be held for Bobby on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E Main St, Mesa, Arizona 85207, where he will be laid to rest. Services will be performed by Pastor Ben Lee, with a brief reception to follow.
