Robert Lyle Klemp 54 of Mesa, AZ passed away on September 3, 2011 after a long illness. Robert graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in Food and Restaurant Management. He was a former manager for the Quilted Bear Restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ and ‘The Other Place’ in Mesa, AZ. Robert enjoyed the many years he worked for Dale Anderson and spoke often of the many friends, and the people he had met at ‘The Bear.’ The past few years Robert was employed at Walmart in Mesa, AZ. Robert was born in Waukesha, WI and moved to Arizona in 1980. He is preceded in death by his father, Lyle, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Robert is survived by his mother Estelle Klemp, Mesa, AZ; sisters, Mary (Rick) King, Glendale, AZ, and Zona (Joel) Lemanski, Marathon, WI, and nieces and nephews, Tracy King, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Jonathan, Michael, and Sarah Lemanski, Marathon, WI. Robert loved classical music, singing and the simple pleasures of family and friends. He was our ‘go-to’ guy for all questions about food, cooking, and restaurants. A great time for Robert was a good meal and the company of his family or friends. The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation for everyone who cared for Robert: Dr. Bliss, Drs. Moran, Atella, Qureshi, Dr. Walker, Kami Carlson, NP and all of the nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center/Barrow Neurological Institute, Neuro ICU (4B/C), 5BNI and 6BNI. Also, to Dr. Sapp, and the nurses and aides at Hospice of the Valley-Arbor House who supported all of us at the end of Robert’s journey. A special thanks to Pastor Myron Nysether and Robert’s best friends, Doug and Brian whose help and support has been invaluable. A memorial service will be held on September 7, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Mountain View Mortuary, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ (480) 832-2850
