Roscoe Mays Jr. Obituary
Roscoe Mays Jr. of Mesa, AZ passed away Sunday April 3, 2016 in Mesa. He was 71. Mr. Mays was a long time resident of Guthrie, OK area. Roscoe was born Sept. 4, 1944 in Trenton, MO to Roscoe Mays Sr. and Velma (Miller) Mays.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years Nancy, his 2 daughters Kimberly Lewis of San Diego, CA & Kerrie Tishler of Pearland, TX, step daughter Lori Leap of Enid, OK, 2 brothers Leon Mays & Mearl Mays, 2 sisters Carol May & Rhonda Whittington, grandchildren Ariel Mays-Lewis, Jackson and Samantha Tishler, Erin & Ryan Leap, his previous wife Sharon Burch and many nieces, nephews & special friends. Roscoe was preceded in death by his father Roscoe Sr. & mother Velma and sister Della.
A memorial service will be held at a future date in Guthrie, OK. Family suggests contributions be made to The American Lung Association or American Diabetes Association in Roscoe’s name. Local arrangements were handled by Mountain View Funeral Home (480) 832-2850.
