Ruth C. Othick, 96, passed away peacefully April 23, 2014. She was born Ruth Corine McLear on July 28, 1917 in Kansas City, MO. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland “Bud” Othick and nephew Donald G. Lally. She is survived by her son Rolland “Buddy” and his wife Sandye of Nevada, daughter Linda Rottman and her husband Wayne of Arizona, and niece Mary Plooster and her husband Merlin of Arizona, and grandchildren: Matthew Othick and his wife Kimia of California, Trent Othick and his wife Erin of Nevada, Brittany Carpenter of Nevada, Stephanie McLaren and her husband Andy of Arizona, Tiffanie Russell and her husband Chris of Arizona, Summer Ring and her husband Rob of Arizona, Mark Plooster and his wife Victoria of Texas, and Jeff Plooster of Florida. Ruth was pleased to be the GG “great grandmother” to 13 children. Services for Ruth will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 3:00p.m. Donations in Ruth’s name can be made to Hospice of Valley in her honor. She will be greatly missed by all who were honored to know her.
