Daniel (Dan) A. Saporiti Sr., 84, of Queen Creek, was called home on March 26th, 2025, he passed peacefully at home in Queen Creek where he loved to be.
Daniel (Dan) was born on March 1, 1941, in Barre Vermont, to Armando and Yvonne Saporiti. He had made his home in the Valley of the Sun for the last 61 years.He worked in Barre VT. for the family Granite Stone business. He was then called up to start his baseball pitching career from 1959-1963 for the minor league Chicago Cubs. When he moved to the Valley he then became a Firefighter from August 1964 to August 1989 for the City of Tempe, then retired as a Captain. He was an All Around Great Athlete, and Loved all sports. Most of all he was a Dedicated Born Again Christian who Loved sharing his Faith about our Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition to his parents, Armando and Yvonne, Daniel (Dan) was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia Catherine (Ginny Kay).
Daniel (Dan) is survived by his Loving wife of 53 years, Linda: Children, Kelly Bottesch, Catherine Castle-Moore, Daniel Jr. (Ranee), William (Amy); nine wonderful grandchildren, Chase (Samantha), R. Tyler, Shane (Breanna), Terah, Bradley (Micaela Barney), David, Wrangler (Kristina), Gage, Hannah, Emma; great grandchildren, Dillyn, Rylan, Lily, Rowen, Jentri; Sisters, MaryJean (Larry), Paula (Paul), Ellen; and many more Loving Extended Family Members.
A viewing with slide show and graveside service will be held on Friday April 4th, 2025
at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel & Cemetery 7900 East Main Street.
