Sharma Jean Hightower

June 10, 1940 – October 5, 2021


Sharma Jean Hightower was born June 10, 1940 in Springfield, Ohio to Hubert and Rosann Lenheart. Sharma was 8 years old when her family moved to Mesa, Arizona. She graduated from Mesa High School in 1958 and then attended ASU where she met the love of her life, Earl V. Hightower Jr. After courting for 6 short weeks, Sharma and Earl were married on July 21, 1960. They spent the first 10 years in Mesa and then decided to move to Prescott, Arizona where they lived for 17 years. Eventually they moved to the Midwest.

During their 51 years of marriage, Sharma an Earl enjoyed their bowling leagues, square dancing, baseball games, camping with their family and friends, and most of all they were loyal Rams Football Fans. In November of 2013, Sharma lost her biggest fan when Earl passed away.

Sharma was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and friend. In her retirement years, Sharma dedicated a lot of her time volunteering in the church. Sharma was a kind, loving woman who never said a harsh word about anyone.

Surviving Sharma are her children, Debbie (Tim) Krull and David Hightower; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Krull, Caroline Krull, Abigail Krull, Tanner (Danielle) Hightower, and Jordan Hightower; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 10:00am at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, Arizona 85207.
