Steve Miller Alexander, “Rode Into The Wind” with our Lord on February 10, 2014 at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa, Arizona after a long battle with cancer. Steve was born on October 18, 1952 in Leavenworth, Kansas the son of Janet Moulden Alexander and Ray Francis Alexander in a rural farming community. He was married to Kris Alexander who preceded him in death August 30, 2013. He was baptized in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Easton, Kansas.

Steve is survived by his two children Cory and Morgan, four grandchildren Michael, Darrin, Alexis and Anthony, and his sister Cheryl Alexander Holmes (Thomas). He was preceded in death by his wife Kris, parents, sister Mary Elaine Alexander, brother Thomas Ray Alexander, and nephew Darrin Alexander.

Steve retired from Schuff Steel Southwest, Phoenix AZ in late 2013 and was a lifetime member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Local Union 75. He took pride in his occupation as an ironworker and “doing it right the first time” which showed in his work ethic commitment. God blessed Steve with so many special longtime friends and co-workers who will always cherish their time with him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 20th at Love of Christ Lutheran Church 1525 N. Power Rd. Mesa AZ 85205. Steve Alexander

The Steve Alexander Grandchildren Memorial Fund has been established at Desert Schools Federal Credit Union to assist with special needs and education of his surviving grandchildren.     You have our sincere condolences on his death..we both knew his parents ..May the Lord grant him a swift journey to heaven to be joined with his family who have gone on ahead…God bless and we pray for your peace.

    Steve was my best friend. I knew him and Kris before they were married. We spoke almost daily. I think about him daily and how sad it is to see them pass so young.

    Believing in Gods word, I will see them again someday when all their sickness and pain is gone… May God bless them both. I truly miss my friend !
