Steven Edward Eden, age 65 of Apache Junction, AZ passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family following his battle with ALS. Steve was born on November 21, 1951 in Flushing Queens, New York, the son of Kenelmn and Elvira Eden. He had made his home in Apache Junction Arizona for the past sixteen years. Steve owned and operated his own businesses in New York: Edgwood Carting in Smithtown, New York and Kenscott Contracting in Lake Grove, New York before moving to Arizona and being employed by M & P Contracting in Phoenix.
Steven was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy: three sons; Steven Eden of New York, James (Melena) Eden of Mesa; and Kenny Eden of Scottsdale. One brother, Kenelmn (Ann Marie) Eden of New Jersey; two sisters, Susan (Gregory) Murphy of New Jersey and Cynthia of California. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Colleen Connors of San Tan Valley, a granddaughter, Aspen Fae Eden: and nieces Mary, Elizabeth and Kelly and nephews Sean and Henry and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona. The family requests that a donation be made to ALS in Steve’s memory in lieu of flowers. The site for donations is: The ALS Association
