Steven Michael Gerstenfeld, born February 15, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, passed away on January 25, 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ. Born in New York, he moved to California at age 12 where he later met his wife Judi; they married on March 15, 1974. In 1978 they moved to Mesa, AZ where they spent many blissful years boating, off-roading, and camping together. After working over 30 years in the automobile and R.V. business, he retired into the world of toy trains. He was known by many as the AZTRAINMAN who joyfully repaired toy trains at the Arizona Train Depot in Mesa, AZ. He loved toy trains and his great nephews shared that love with him. As a dog lover, he had a pair of Schnauzers by his side, Sierra and Jake. He is survived by his loving wife Judi, nephew Eric Vaughn and wife Andrea, his great nephews Edward Joseph and Aiden Jack and brother, Erwin. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred; father, Stanley; and sister, Debbie Vaughn. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, family, friends, and puppy dogs. A celebration of his life will be held at a date to be announced.
