Thelma R. Stoker, 86, of Mesa, Arizona, died suddenly in an automobile accident on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. She was born April 22, 1927 in Mountainview, Missouri to Walter Prine and Florence Schelling Prine. Thelma married Dean Morse on August 16, 1943 and was a long time resident of Colorado. She and her second husband, Felix Stoker, moved from Colorado to Arizona in 2000, where she lived the rest of her life. Thelma took pride in being a Christian and was greatly admired by those privileged to know her; she made friends easily and she was happy to sit and visit or write out cards to loved ones. Thelma will be missed by her many friends and family in Arizona and Colorado. Survivors are her son Dennis Morse (Mary Ellen) and daughter Charlene Stanley (Larry), grandchildren Aaron Stanley, Lisa Harris (Evan), and Bradley Morse (Erica), and great granddaughter Olive Morse. Wenburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements set for Thursday, August 8, 10:30 AM, Arapahoe Christian Church, 902 Locust Street, Arapahoe, Nebraska.
Thelma was a very dear & special friend. She would give you anything she had. She’d always be there if you needed her. She loved going to lunch & movies. She loved my little dog Tori. Most of all she loved her Savior & Lord Jesus Christ. I am going to miss her. I am praying for all of you.
