Vernon K Sandlan, 94, of Sun City, AZ died from complications of pneumonia on October 19, 2021.

Vernon was born October 15, 1927 to Andrew Sandlan and Mabel Anderson in Edmore, ND.   He was in the Army/Army Reserve 1950 – 1957 serving in the Korean Conflict.   After his discharge he worked on the family farm, Farmers Union as well as several other positions in the Edmore area.   Vernon married Therese M Mueller on September 5, 1970 in Edmore.  They moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1972 where he was employed by the Grand Forks Fire Department.   They moved to Arizona 2001.  Vernon was a “jack of all trades” and enjoyed working with his hands.  There wasn’t much he could not do.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Therese; his step children Bruce (Sandy) Mueller, Russell (Joan) Mueller, David (Ann) Mueller, Dale (Joy) Mueller, Gary (Patty) Mueller and Karen (Greg) Thingelstad; 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Mable, his brother Melvin, step son Robert and grandson Timothy.

A Memorial Service and Inurnment will be held January 28, 2022 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery in Mesa, AZ.
