Wanda Irene Oliver, 85, passed away peacefully in Mesa, Arizona on February 1, 2011 after a brief illness. Wanda was born in Bloomington, Indiana on December 7, 1925 to Leland and Martha Weimer. Throughout her life Wanda was a telephone operator, nurse’s aid, clerk and hospital worker. Wanda came to Arizona in 1996 and had since resided at Christian Care Manor IV (Fellowship Square) in Mesa until her passing. She was a wonderful and beloved mother, survived by her sons Richard (Sandy) Oliver, Michael (Linda) Oliver, and Brian Oliver; and her daughter Lisa Cousins; and by grandchildren Matthew Oliver and Sarah Oliver. In addition, she is survived by her brother James (Nancy) Weimer. Wanda enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. A private family prayer service was held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Mesa.
