Wanda Moses, a selfless sitho, mother, aunt, and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 30th. She was a great influence to those around her always making sure of others’ comfort before her own. Wanda left behind a large family who love and adore her, a family who look to her as a leader.
Born in Baskinta, Lebanon on January 1st, 1944, Wanda was a self-made, inspiring, beautiful woman who came to this country at the young age of 17 years old. With barely anything but the clothes on her back, she was able to make an amazing life for herself and those around her. Wanda will be remembered for the many accomplishments she made as well as the lessons she taught. Wanda was a completely selfless woman giving to others before taking for herself. She had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, being the best person to talk to. A person like Wanda Moses is truly rare, someone that’s so generous, kind, smart, and full of life.
There will be a visitation at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N MacDonald, Mesa, AZ 85201.
Wanda was all the wonderful things mentioned and more. She was a friend, neighbor and a blessing in my life.
Wanda, my dearest friend, I will miss our Sunday morning chats driving to 7 am mass that included praying for our families, (especially the grandchildren), bringing my grandchildren to your house for a cookie and a hug, praying mass together on TV in your living room during Covid restrictions, learning & making tabouli with Jaimie years ago, meeting at the mailbox while Maggie and Niki played, and simply enjoying our friendship. You and Jaimie will always remain in my heart.
