Passed Away on February 2, 2017


Warren Elmer Schwengels, 95, of Mesa, AZ passed away on Thursday February 2, 2017. Warren was born on March 23, 1921, in Clinton, WI. He moved to Mesa in 1957, with his wife, Jean, and four small children. He was a finish carpenter for Farnsworth Construction. Warren was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Howard Schwengels, and his second wife, Mary Hull Schwengels. He, also, is preceded by his grandson, Chad Burgus. Warren is the last one of ten siblings to pass on. He is survived by his son, Ronald (Muriel), three daughters, Shirley, Ellen (David) Backus, and Marcella (Rick) Lane. Three grandchildren, Gordon (Courtney) Lane, Wes Schwengels, and Lisa (Chris) Paradis. Two great-grandchildren, Jenna Lane and Warren Lane. We will really miss his great sense of humor. The Visitation will be at 9:00 am followed by the service at 10:00 am Saturday February 11, 2017 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 807 N Stapley Dr, Mesa, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Mesa, AZ, or Banner Hospice.
