9/6/1959 – 7/7/2019
After nearly 20 years of battling breast cancer, Wendy, our Warrior, finally won the war and found peace with God early Sunday morning, 7 July 2019. She was a fighter to the very end.
Wendy passed away, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully at home. She paved the way to heaven for her husband, Warren, her amazing and accomplished daughters, Danielle, Savannah and Sheridan, and her loving Understiller and Skarda families, many of whom were with her at her last breath. She waited until the sun rose in the east on her new life and ordered up a very unusual summer morning rainbow to the west. She did it right…like she did everything!
Her family and friends will miss her dearly. Wendy was a kind, compassionate, encouraging, supportive, blissfully happy and radiant soul. Her positive outlook and love for life was contagious. She left an incredible mark on everyone she met. We were all blessed to have her in our lives.
Wend, until we see you again, enjoy all of the tennis, boating, fishing, horseback riding, cooking, wine, country music, dancing and all of the things you loved to do up there in Heaven. We love you and we miss you so much!
As a celebration of life, a memorial service will be held at Living Word Bible Church, 3520 E Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213, on 20 July 2019 at 10:30AM, followed by a reception at the church. Everyone is welcome.
