Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Wilbert “Lyle” Currie

April 23, 1944 – February 6, 2022

Wilbert “Lyle” Currie, passed away on February 6, 2022, age 77. He was born in Alliance, Ohio. He grew up on Whidbey Island, Washington. His dad was in the Navy for 24 years. Lyle attended High school in Naples, Italy. After returning to the United States, Lyle also joined the Navy. After he was out, he joined his Folks in Condon, Oregon where he worked with the State Highway Department for 9 years.  He then moved to Tacoma where he met and married his wife of 43 years, Carolyn.

Sixteen years ago, they made the decision to move to Queen Creek, AZ. Enjoying the dryer, warmer climate. The whole family had all made the move by the end of the first year, mother-in-law and sister-in-law as well. Our Children, Lynette Hrisko, Nina Szvoren, Brian Foran, Jan Matheney and their children, and their children’s children. Lyle leaves many cousins in Oregon, a cousin, Gail Graham in Chandler AZ, and a sister, Dawn Ortiz in southern California.

Lyle loved his Family Dearly and was loved by them. He will be greatly missed by All.

It was a “Blessing” to have had 43 years with my Husband, I will miss him every moment till we meet again.
