William “Bill” Henderson Jackson, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on September 29, 1943, in McConnell, West Virginia, Bill lived a life grounded in love, kindness, laughter, faith, and integrity. He was a devoted son, father, papaw, and a cherished friend to many. A man of deep Christian faith, Bill did not simply profess his beliefs—he lived them daily. He found strength in his unwavering conviction that Jesus came to save the world, lived a flawless life, died for the sins of all, rose on the third day, and lives today.
Bill was, above all, a servant. He worked tirelessly to help others and to make the world a better place, serving those in need in every community he called home. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 357 and played a role in building infrastructure across America. A loyal and principled brother, Bill never crossed a picket line and often stood shoulder to shoulder with his fellow workers.
He will be most remembered for his extraordinary capacity to love. Bill loved fully, selflessly, and generously. He gave of himself to others in ways that were unique to each person—always offering exactly what was needed. He lived each day with integrity, a quality that remained steadfast even in his final days.
Bill is survived by his sons, Rickey (Molly) Jackson, and Ronnie Jackson; his daughter, Lisa (Carlos) Rios; his nine grandchildren, Lindsey, Hannah (Sam), Christian, Ryan (Hailey), Emma (Stacey), Illeana, Isaiah, Joseph, and Aliyah; and his great-grandson, SJ, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Jackson; his father, William “Russell” Jackson; and his mother, Regina “Dot” Jackson.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails . . .
A graveside service for the family will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa, AZ
I am at Bill Jackson at Holbrook first Baptist Church in about 1980. His family was faithful in attendance and participation at church activities and in the community. Marie Cantrell and I taught a Sunday school class where Ricky was very faithful. Wonderful family. A credit to Bill. I am pretty sure Bill has joined the choir in heaven singing praises to God.
Sending deepest sympathy and love to the family at this sad time. What a blessing to have had such a man in the world. May all the beautiful memories bring you comfort.
My condolences to the family he truly was a great person
So sorry to hear this. I remember that trip we did to lake Powell on the houseboat. Great memories.
