William Burdette House, 89, of Mesa, Arizona, died Saturday, July 21, 2012.  He was born January 1, 1923, in Monroe Township, Preble County to Jacob Henry House and Martha Pearl (LaFuze) House. Burdette graduated from Lewisburg High School (Ohio) in 1941and served in the U.S. Army Engineers Company “D” 359th Engineers G. S. Regiment in WWII and was in England, Germany and France and returned home in December of 1945.  He married Helen Virginia Houser on May 16, 1947 and lived in the Eaton area until moving to Arizona in 1973.  Burdette had worked in the construction industry until he retired.  Preceding him in death were his wife of 52 years, Helen Virginia (Houser) House, his parents, Jacob Henry House and Martha P. (LaFuze) House, and two half brothers Roscoe A. House and Virgil E. House.  Surviving are his daughters, Margaret (Peggy) Clark and Julia House, both of Arizona, and two grandchildren, Lisa (Clark) Martin and Carla R. Clark, both of California.  Services are being held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ.  Viewing at 1:00 p.m. and Service at 2:00 with military honors.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.  Condolences for the family may be sent to P. O. Box 31418, Mesa, AZ  85275-1418.
