William M. Robinson, 86, of Mesa Arizona passed away peacefully Friday, February 8, 2013. Born in Wilmington, Ohio to William H. and Gladys Robinson, Bill graduated from Wilmington High School and Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Journalism. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and worked in the machine tool industry for over 40 years. Bill married Barbara Palmer in 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio and they were happily married for 56 years. During those years, they raised a beautiful family, lived and worked in Ohio and California, and retired in Arizona in 1991. Bill was an active community volunteer throughout his life, serving many organizations including the Boy Scouts, the Presbyterian Church, the YMCA and Arizona Boys Ranch.

Bill is survived by his daughter Marilyn (Bob) Box of Buena Vista, Colorado, son Brian (Vickie) Robinson of Scottsburg, Indiana and sister Carolyn (Charles) Bonecutter of Lebanon, Ohio, as well as loving cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, and his daughter, Karen. A private family remembrance will be held graveside at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the team from Premier Hospice & Palliative Care who supported Bill’s care with such kindness over the last year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Premier Hospice Foundation, 4530 E. Shea Blvd. Suite 165, Phoenix, AZ 85208.
