Ysidra Cerda Lesperance

August 12, 1948 – June 8, 2020


Ysidra Cerda Lesperance was born August 12th, 1948 and entered in to the arms of her Heavenly Father on June 8th, 2020. Ysidra was a Pastor’s wife for over 35 years, a loving mother to 5 children and a grandmother of 7.  She devoted her life to serving the Lord with all her heart, mind and strength. Ysidra was a Sunday school teacher, women’s and children’s social service worker and a spiritual leader to the many community and church members she served. She left behind a glowing example of love, faith and strength. She is also remembered for her straightforwardness and honesty, but without a doubt had your best interest in mind. In her later years, her grandchildren and children remember her for her spiritual devotion, fun loving spirit, funny jokes and her many stories. Ysidra gave her granddaughters piano lessons, enjoyed art projects with all her grandchildren and most of all would never hesitate to take a trip to the thrift store with her family. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Nora Ortega and her loving husband; Rev. Augustine Lesperance. She is survived by her 4 sons; Steve Ortega, Raul Ortega, Jobe Lesperance and Matthew Lesperance (wife Janet Lesperance) her 7 grandchildren; Mari Estrada-Ortega, Jobe Jr “Gordos” Lesperance, Rayah Lesperance and Bella Lesperance, Matthew Jr Lesperance, Joseph Lesperance and Mark Lesperance. Ysidra’s life will be forever cherished, celebrated and remembered in the hearts and minds of her family and the many lives she touched. May she Rest in Peace.
