With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Zachary (Zack) Leland Kobie who left us on February 18, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on July 31, 1990, in Chandler, AZ, Zack was a bright soul who brought immense joy to everyone he met. A passionate man of God, United States Army veteran, and dedicated father and husband. He was known for his kindness, infectious laughter, and love for his family. He is survived by his loving wife Stevie and his three children Caleb (8), Joshua (3), and Abrielle (1), his grandparents, Jim and Dawn Kobie, parents, Jeff and Rana Kobie, and his siblings, sister Cassie, and brothers Stephen, Tyler, Ben, and Brandon.
Zack was the most incredible man anyone could have had the privilege to know. His laughter and light filled the room wherever he went. Full of life, kindness, and humor, he was the anchor of his family, bringing joy and warmth into every moment. He was a man who loved deeply and gave of himself freely, with a heart as vast as the open sky.
He had an unwavering faith in God, and his love for the Lord was a cornerstone of his life. He knew that God loved him and trusted in His plan, finding peace and strength in that love. His faith guided him every day, and it will continue to guide those who remain.
His passions were many, but nothing brought him more peace and joy than spending time with his family, his sheep, and the quiet solitude of the fishing pond. Whether casting a line into the water, caring for his animals, or simply holding his children close, he showed all of us what it meant to love without condition and live without hesitation.
Though he is no longer with us on earth, we take comfort knowing that he is now a soldier in heaven, serving in God’s eternal embrace. He was a soldier here, and now he is a soldier in the presence of the Lord, where there is no pain or sorrow, only peace.
He will forever be missed, but his spirit will remain in our hearts as we hold him close, cherishing the love he so freely gave. To the world, he may have been one person, but to his family, he was the world.
Rest in peace, Zack. We will love you endlessly.
